Mary Immaculate Heart Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Kariyandal is owned and administered by the Sisters of the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites. As a Catholic and Carmelite school, it gives the integral education to pupil especially village people based on the Catholic vision and values such as compassionate love and care for the humanity.

Note to students

School time Starts at 9.00 a.m and Ends at 4.00 p.m.

Students should arrive at school before 8.45 a.m.

Students should not leave the School campus during class hours without the permission of the Principal.

If called home during class hours, a letter from the parent or guardian should justify the reason for doing so. This letter should be handed over to the Principal.

Students should converse only in English inside the School Campus.

No leave of absence will be granted except on previous written application from the parent or guardian to the Principal.

In case of illness, the leave letter should be produced to the Principal through the class teacher, on the day when the student returns to school.

Students must get the permission of the Teacher to leave the class room during the session.

Students will be suspended or removed from the rolls for irregular attendance, indiscipline and other reprehensible behaviour.

Students are requested to keep their class room and school campus clean. Any kind of damage done to the property of the school must be made good.

Students are not permitted to wear gold ornaments. If they lose, the school authorities will not be responsible. Students should themselves be responsible for their own belongings brought to school.

Students suffering from contagious or infectious disease will not be permitted to attend the school.

Students are not allowed to receive visitors or leave the school premises during school hours without the permission of the principal.

Pupils absenting themselves for examination will be considered as having failed. Re-examination will not be conducted.

Any change of address should be intimated to the School office immediately.

The students shall always bear in mind to uphold the good name of the institution by observing proper conduct inside and outside the School campus.

Students are forbidden to purchase articles of food and other items from vendors outside the school.

Every student must take part in games and other co curricular activities of the school.

Students must not bring to school any material other than what is needed for the class, Palm top, Calculator, toy, knife, lighter, binocular, camera, walkman, cellular phone, journal, magazine, comics and other such things are strictly forbidden.

Note to parents

Parents or Guardians who wish to contact their wards during class hours should do so only through the Principal.

Parents / Guardians should examine the diary of their wards every day and sign without fail.

The progress report and answer papers should be signed by the parent.

Parents who wish to make complaints should do so to the principal and not to the class teacher.

Parents can meet the principal between 10.30a.m to 12.30p.m on every month at a mentioned date.

Normally parents / guardians are not permitted or see their wards or interview the teachers during class hours except on unavoidable circumstances after getting permission from the Principal.

Parents should take care about the cleanliness of their ward's uniforms, shoes, socks, bow.
